on the peninsula: ten years

'So, yeah, I worked in the Emirates for ten years, but not consecutively.  It was three years (1993-1996) and out and then I came back and did another three years (2001-2004)  and out and then I came back one more time and did four years (2005-2009)'.  And in ten years, three jobs and one city, most of my favorite images are here including a few I've never posted before.  All the images that is, that I have found.  Some are missing, I need to organize better, I know, but I think these 70 images or so give a reasonable theme of the kind of life I've been fortunate to have had in this country the size of Bernie Sanders home state, on the Arabian Peninsula. It's been good to me indeed, and for the most part I've been good to it.  I like what I found here amongst the people, former Bedouin but not by much, the gift of dualism that is found in the very core of their relationship with nature, soon disappearing I'm afraid, but they accepted me and my sometimes dopey spirit.  Ok, I hope you enjoy these.  Let me know what you think if there's anything you'd like to think about here.  Shukran.
